To explore pathways for the transformation and development in the digital-intelligent era, advance CUEB’s development plan for the 15th Five-Year Plan period, and mobilize alumni support for the university, Liu Ying, Secretary of CUEB Party Committee, led a delegation to Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JXUFE) from May 15 to 16. The delegation also attended the launch ceremony of the CUEB Jiangxi Alumni Home. Yin Zhichao, member of Party Standing Committee and Vice President, joined the visit.

On the afternoon of May 15, Liu Ying and the delegation visited the Laboratory of Data Science in Finance and Economics, and held talks with Liu Yaobin, Secretary of the Party Committee of JXUFE. Liu Ying thanked the university for its support and introduced CUEB’s history, strengths, distinctive features, and the opportunities and challenges it faces in serving major national strategies and the development of Beijing in the new era. She expressed the hope for deepening all-round cooperation. Liu Yaobin welcomed CUEB delegation and briefed JXUFE’s recent development. The two sides reached consensus on a series of issues in student growth, discipline construction, scientific research, and faculty development.

On the morning of May 16, Liu Ying and the delegation attended the launch ceremony of the CUEB Jiangxi Alumni Home. On behalf of the university, Liu extended warm congratulations on its establishment and said the university was proud of the achievements made by Jiangxi alumni in serving the society and contributing to their hometown. She encouraged the alumni to carry forward CUEB’s motto, “advocating morality, valuing competence, strategizing national development, and serving the people”, and to make further contributions on the land of Jiangxi. Liu Ying expressed the hope that the Jiangxi Alumni Home would serve as a warm home, a platform for joint efforts, and a bridge connecting alumni in Jiangxi with the Alma Mater, while also contributing to local economic and social development. She called on the alumni association to continue innovating its work model, build diverse and open platforms for activities and exchanges, and further stimulate alumni vitality and pool alumni wisdom and strength. She also expressed her expectation that all alumni would move forward with the university and jointly write a new chapter of high-quality development. At the ceremony, Liu Ying and Yin Zhichao jointly presented a flag to the Jiangxi Alumni Home. After the launch ceremony, Jiangxi alumni took part in a university flag relay activity marking CUEB’s 70th anniversary.

Officials from the Office of Party and Governance Affairs, the Development Planning Department, Discipline Construction Office, the Academic Affairs Department, the Human Resources Department, and the Cooperation and Liaison Department joined the visit and alumni activities.
