On June 16, U.S. News & World Report released the 2026-2027 Best Global Universities Rankings, with two disciplines of CUEB making the list.

The ranking covers 2,250 leading universities worldwide, including more than 400 universities from mainland China. The two disciplines—Economics and Business— rank 78th among universities globally, entering the world’s top 100. It ranks 20th among mainland Chinese universities, climbing 8 places from the previous edition and ranking 6th among universities of finance and economics nationwide. In addition, Engineering has made its debut on the U.S. News Best Global Universities by Subject, marking a breakthrough in discipline development.

The U.S. News Best Global Universities Rankings, published by U.S. News & World Report, comprehensively evaluates higher education institutions based on dimensions including global research reputation, regional research reputation, research output, international collaboration, and the training of high-level talents. It uses 13 evaluation indicators grouped under three broad categories: global research reputation, regional research reputation, and research and internationalization output. The ranking servs as a reference for prospective international applicants.
