On the morning of May 20, President Wu Weixing, met with Brent White, President of Golden Gate University, and his delegation at the Hechang Hall of Boyuan Building. The two sides held in-depth discussions on advancing inter-university cooperation and joint cultivation programs, and signed a Letter of Intent. Charles Wang, Vice President for Strategic Partnerships of Golden Gate University, and Li Kunpeng, Vice President of CUEB, also attended the meeting.

On behalf of the university, Wu extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Golden Gate University. He noted that CUEB has always upheld an open approach to education and actively introduced high-quality international educational resources. Wu expressed the hope that the two universities would engage in resource sharing and leverage complementary strengths in areas such as Sino-foreign cooperative education and the joint cultivation of students and faculty, so as to further enhance the internationalization of education.

Brent White thanked CUEB for its warm reception and gave an overview of Golden Gate University. He expressed a strong willingness to deepen cooperation with the School of Public Finance and Taxation, hoping that the two sides would make substantive progress in co-developing program curricula, cultivating innovative talent, and appointing international faculty.

At the meeting, witnessed by Wu and the other representatives present, the two universities formally signed the Letter of Intent.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the School of Public Finance and Taxation for further discussions. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on matters related to Sino-foreign cooperative education and reached a preliminary agreement.

Representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges, the School of Public Finance and Taxation, and other relevant departments also attended the meeting.
