On May 15th, Fu Zhifeng, President of CUEB met with Prof. Elsayed ElKady, President of Benha University and his delegation in Boyuan Building. The two sides held a pragmatic discussion on high-level international student joint education, teacher exchange programs and academic exchange.

Fu Zhifeng extended welcome to Prof. Elsayed ElKady for revisiting. He hoped that under the “Belt & Road” initiative, the two universities can effectively promote the specific cooperation programs with the establishment of the economic and management talent education base at CUEB. CUEB welcomed the excellent international students of Benha University to CUEB for degree programs or short-term exchanges in Beijing and invited relevant teachers to participate in academic conferences or international summer schools.

Prof. Elsayed ElKady expressed thanks to CUEB for sending out the Chinese language teacher to lecture on Chinese culture at Benha University last year. He said that Benha University attached great importance to the cooperation with Chinese key universities, and he hoped that the two sides could have further talks on launching the “3+1” or “2+2” joint training program for undergraduates and “1+1” joint training program for postgraduates. At the same time, he welcomed teachers of CUEB to Benha University.

The representatives from the School of Finance, the School of Business Administration, the School of Culture and Communications, the School of Information, the School of Safety and Environmental Engineering and the School of International Education of CUEB participated in the  discussion and achieved cooperation intention on undergraduate-postgraduate level student co-cultivation and teacher exchanges with Prof. Tamer Abdelmeguid, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Art of Benha University, Prof. Khalid Elsayed, Director of Youth Activities, Prof. Hazem Abdelnabby, the Coordinator of International Cooperation.
