Li Qing, Deputy Secretary General of China Scholarship Council, and Her Delegation Visit CUEB for Research
On March 31st, Li Qing, Deputy Secretary General of China Scholarship Council (CSC) and her delegation came to CUEB for research. The delegation included Li Yufei, Director of Department of Law and Project of CSC, Liu Chao, Deputy Director of European Affairs and Chen Yunpeng, Project Manager of Department of Law and Project of CSC. CUEB President Fu Zhifeng met with them in Boyuan building.
President Fu Zhifeng introduced CUEB and its international cooperation and exchange efforts. He said that CUEB highly valued the international approach to education, with full support for international exchanges and visits for teachers and students. He hoped that CUEB can make greater progress in offering more opportunities of studying abroad and recruiting international students under the guidance of CSC.
Li Qing introduced the background and intention of the research. She said that 2018 is “a year for research” conducted by the Ministry of Education This research aims to optimize the national study-abroad programs and improve the management mechanism through listening to the actual needs of universities, so as to make the selection of fund receivers more rational, the subject-specific fields for funding more targeted and the management procedures more streamlined. Li Qing also acknowledged the achievements of CUEB’s international education in recent years, and suggested that CUEB should actively join the CSC's local university cooperation programs to make its education more international.
