The signing ceremony of discipline co-development of universities in Beijing was held on July 18th. Under the guidance of Beijing Municipal Education Commission, the two CUEB primary disciplines of applied economics and business management would form co-development partnership with Renmin University of China (RUC). CUEB President Fu Zhifeng and RUC Party Secretary Jin Nuo signed and exchanged the co-development plan for the two disciplines on the ceremony.

Lin Keqing, standing member of Beijing Municipal Committee of C.P.C and Secretary of Beijing Municipal Education Commission, indicated that this discipline co-development was of great significance for the development of Beijing higher education, and it required great sense of responsibility, strict supervision and performance evaluation to gain tangible benefits. He also stated that the work should be done timely under the guidance of Opinions on Coordinating and Promoting the Development of Beijing Higher Education Reform . Wang Ning, Deputy Mayor of Beijing Municipal Government, stated that we must further achieve unity of thoughts, deepen comprehensive reform and improve internal impetus under the guidance of the above document to strengthen personnel nurturing in Beijing.
