President Fu Zhifeng Meets Delegation from OUE

On Feb.25th, Fu Zhifeng, President of CUEB, met Mitsutoshi Tokunaga, President of Osaka University of Economics (OUE), and his delegation. The two sides exchanged ideas on inter-university cooperation and communication between teachers and students.  

Firstly, President Fu Zhifeng extended warm welcome to the delegation and introduced the basic information of CUEB. Then, Fu noted that a doctoral student from the CUEB School of Labor Economics joined the exchange program to OUE last summer. Given that, he expressed that he looked forward to seeing more exchanges between teachers and students from the two universities. Fu also hoped that the two sides could continue to sign framework agreements led by our past cooperation, and upgrade our joint work in terms of talent cultivation, exchanges between teachers and scientific researches in a bid to achieve a win-win cooperation. Mitsutoshi Tokunaga thanked the warm reception by CUEB and highlighted the economic development in Osaka Prefecture as well as OUE’s situation. He said that OUE had been committed to cultivating tailored students to boost the economic development in Osaka Prefecture. As OUE’s sole partner in Beijing, CUEB has witnessed academic and student exchanges with OUE for many times since 1995. Mitsutoshi Tokunaga also expected that in-depth cooperation of all types and more high-quality students could be expected in the years to come.

Also attended the meeting were Yoichi Sakita, Managing Director of the Board of Trustees of Osaka University of Economics, Yan Li, Director of the Institute of Japanese Economic History, Feng Xiliang, Dean of the School of Labor Economics, Li Baixing, Deputy Dean of the School of Accounting, Xie Haixia, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchanges Office, Huang Liwei, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation and Exchanges Office and Tao Ying, Associate Professor of the School of Law.
