On April 3rd, a ceremony was held for the appointment of Guo Qingwang as chair professor of School of Public Finance and Taxation of CUEB. Leaders attending the ceremony included Prof. Bai Yanfeng, Dean of School of Finance and Taxation of Central University of Finance and Economics, Prof. Wu Qiang, Director of Finance Department of School of Economics, Beijing Technology and Business University, Prof. Fu Zhifeng, President of CUEB, Zhang Xueping, Director of Academic Affairs Office of CUEB, and Prof. Yao Dongxu, Director of Office of Research. All staff from School of Public Finance and Taxation also participated the appointing ceremony.

Prof. Li Hongxia, Dean and Party Secretary of the School of Public Finance and Taxation presided over the ceremony. Li Hongxia began the meeting by introducing Guo’s profile and main achievements. Afterwards, Fu Zhifeng issued Guo Qingwang the letter of appointment and extended warm welcome to him for his joining. He was looking forward to Prof. Guo’s help and guidance on discipline construction, teaching staff, and scientific research of CUEB.

Guo Qingwang expressed appreciation to the leaders of CUEB for their trust and support. As Guo Qingwang said, he would live up to the trust and expectations of the university and all staff from the School. He was willing to work together with his new colleagues for the development of disciplines and scientific researches. He would also contribute to the disciplinary advancement, giving full play to his social impact.
