Delegation from Sunway University Visits CUEB

On April 8th, Wang Chuansheng, Vice President of CUEB, met with Prof. Graeme Wilkinson, Vice-Chancellor of Sunway University, Malaysia, and his delegation in Boyuan Building. The two sides exchanged on inter-university cooperation and signed the agreement of “2+2” double major program for undergraduates.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, Wang Chuansheng extended his welcome on behalf of CUEB, to Prof. Graeme Wilkinson and his delegation. Wang highlighted CUEB’s situation and international cooperation. He noted that CUEB put a premium on exchanges and cooperation with overseas universities, hoping to step up collaboration on the cultivation of international students, exchanges between teachers and joint scientific researches. 

Afterwards, Prof. Graeme Wilkinson gave a brief introduction to Sunway University. He then noted that Sunway University pursued an international approach to education and highly valued the partnership with CUEB. He also hoped that teaching and scientific research could live up to a higher standard through academic cooperation and exchanges between the two universities. In closing, he expressed his pleasure once again to visit CUEB, hoping to strengthen cooperation in fostering international talents. 

Next, Wang Minghui, Party Secretary of the School of Labor Economics, introduced the school and its international programs briefly. He also expressed his wishes to enhance the exchanges of teachers and students, as well as joint scientific researches between the two universities. 

 

After the meeting, Prof. Graeme Wilkinson and his delegation had a tour of the university history museum. Prof. Yuka Fujimoto, Dean of the Department of Management, addressed the students from the School of Labor Economics with a speech concerning the “2+2” double major program for undergraduates and took related questions from the audience. 

 

Also attended the meeting were Prof. Marcus Lee Stephenson, Dean of the School of Hospitality, Zhuang Guowen, representative of International Academic and Research affairs, Huang Liwei, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation and Exchanges Office, and Fan Wei, Deputy Dean of the School of Labor Economics.
