CUEB Wraps up 16th Sports Meeting

On April 19th, the 16th CUEB Sports Meeting came to an end with cheers. For a day and a half, the athletics tussled for the gold medal, presenting an exciting show with one climax after another. Feng Pei, Party Secretary of CUEB, Wang Chuansheng, Vice President of CUEB, Tang Xing’an, Secretary of Commission for Discipline Inspection, and Xing Qi, member of CUEB Party Standing Committee and Director of United Front Work Division attended the closing ceremony, which was presided over by Wang Chuansheng, and presented awards to winners.

 

The much-awaited award for the group callisthenics performance was made known at first. The top eight were listed below. The Excellent Performance Awards went to the School of Finance, the International School of Economic Management, the Overseas Chinese College, the School of Public Finance and Taxation, the School of Culture and Communication, the School of Law and the College of Urban Economics and Public Administration. 

 

In an effort to encourage students to engage in group activities, the Division of Physical Education selected the Advanced Schools of Group Activities for the school year 2018-2019, which included: the College of Business Administration, the School of Accounting, the School of Economics, the School of Finance, the School of Labor Economics, the School of Information, the School of Culture and Communication and the School of Statistics. In addition, 13 heads of the Sports Departments of student unions from different schools, namely Jing Zihang from the School of Statistics, Li Jingyi from the School of Information, Hou Ximing from the School of Law, Li Kunqi from the College of Urban Economics and Public Administration, Zhang Yinan from the International School of Economic Management, Cui Hongru from the School of Labor Economics, Jin Xing from the School of Accounting, Xue Yuhang from the School of Culture and Communication, Mao Yumin from the School of Public Finance and Taxation, Shu Zengxuan from the College of Business Administration and Song Sihang, Yang Zhiyu and Gao Lingyun from the students’ union, were recognized for their excellent work. 

 

Through earnest assessment, the organizer selected outstanding schools respectively for their upbeat spirit, systematic organization and courageous struggle. The prize for Spiritual Civilization went to the School of Safety and Environmental Engineering, the School of Accounting, the School of Finance, the School of Labor Economics and the Overseas Chinese College. The prize for Excellent Organization was taken home by the School of Public Finance and Taxation, the School of Culture and Communication and the International School of Economic Management. The prize for Bravery was awarded to the School of Accounting and the School of Economics.     

 

 

Wang Changyou, General Referee and Deputy Director of the CUEB Sports Department, announced the score of the men’s team, women’s team and the total score of the schools. The School of Economics, with a great total score of 325.5 points, topped the list, retaining the championship for nine years in a row.
