CUEB Holds Patriotic Education Activity “Sing for the New Era & Future”
Organized by Student Affairs Department, “Sing for the New Era & Future”, part of patriotic education series activities themed as “Forge Ahead with My Motherland”, kicked off on the day before May 4th, attracting over a thousand teachers & students. CUEBers gave a musical interpretation of their patriotism, showing respect for pioneers in May Fourth Movement and applauding to our prosperous China.
With Dongliang Square enjoying the beautiful music of violin at the beginning of the day, this activity started by a recitation performed by retired & young teachers and student representatives.
At noon, the opening dance impressed the audience who formed a “human wall” near the gymnasium in a few minutes.
Teacher and student representatives recited a poem I Love My Motherland with violin accompaniment, expressing their affection for the Party and China.

Teachers, counselors and student representatives walked out of the crowd, singing Keep the Red Flag Flying. Students danced to the music with ethnic minorities waving fans and representatives red silk, which drove the stage to a new high.

All the teachers and students presented sang My Motherland and I, accompanied with familiar melodies and national flag, university flag and school flags blowing in the wind. This wide-spread song with every CUEBer’s passion and love for motherland, inspired people’s patriotism.

In the afternoon, counselors and students relayed patriotic songs on the playground, in Tuoyun Square & Xiachen Square and before the library. By reminding and singing those classic songs, they could better express their passion for China.
