President Fu Zhifeng Meets with a Delegation from the University of Lodz in Poland

On October 21st, Fu Zhifeng, President of CUEB, met Pavier Starosta, Vice President of the University of Lodz in Poland, and Professor Miao Yanbo from the Sino-European Institute of Cultural Studies in Boyuan Building. The two sides exchanged views on the establishment and promotion of inter-school cooperation.


 
Fu Zhifeng welcomed Starosta's visit and gave a brief introduction to CUEB, including the school ranking, the recruitment of foreign students and other content. He said that the university attached great importance to international development and cooperation with overseas universities, and hoped that the two sides can establish cooperation and exchange programs in the areas of joint personnel training, teacher exchanges and scientific research.

 

Starosta gave a brief introduction to the University of Lodz, including the school's overview, preponderant subjects, faculty, and international exchanges. He said University of Łódź was the largest and the most popular school in Poland, with an excellent faculty in an international perspective, comprehensive and professional curriculum and diversified language teaching, and actively sought cooperation with overseas universities. He hoped that the visit will promote teacher and student exchanges and scientific research projects between the two universities.

 

Later, Xie Haixia, Director of Department of International Cooperation and Exchange Office, said she hoped to sign a memorandum of cooperation with the University of Łódź, and fully carry out student exchanges, teacher visits, scientific research and other cooperation. Zhang Shijun, Dean of the School of Law, Zhao Jiazhang, Vice Dean of the School of Economics, and others gave a brief introduction to the basic situation of their schools respectively, including the disciplines they offered and the student exchange programs. Vice President Pavier Starosta expressed his willingness to establish a partnership with CUEB and said he would steadily implement cooperation with CUEB in all aspects in his future work, including the signing of the cooperation memorandum, the development of student exchange programs, academic research cooperation and exchange of teachers and so on. The two sides have reached preliminary cooperation intentions on student exchanges and teacher visits, and will further sign cooperation memorandum in follow-up exchanges and cooperation.
