CUEB Holds 2020 Undergraduate Art Troup New Year Performance

On the evening of December 18th, CUEB held 2020 Undergraduate Art Troup New Year Performance in Zhuoyu Auditorium to celebrate the coming New Year and report achievements on aesthetic education. CUEB Party Secretary Feng Pei, Vice Party Secretary Xu Fang, as well as over 700 teachers, students and their parents attended and watched the performance.

 

In the past year, Undergraduate Art Troup made excellent achievements in competitions in Beijing and even in national-level, wining reputations for CUEB. Feng Pei and Xu Fang presented rewards to groups who won the prizes respectively. On behalf of CUEB, Feng expressed New Year blessing to us.

 

 

The performance was divided into two parts, “Forge Ahead Together through Thick and Thin” and “Pursue New Era with One Heart”. The theme of the performance was to celebrate the founding of People’s Republic of China.

 

Alone with the magnificent orchestra performance “Steel Flood March” displaying the glorious image of People’s Liberation Army, the first part “Forge Ahead Together through Thick and Thin” kicked off. 

The Dance “Azalea” displayed the struggle spirit of Chinese people in achieving victory and happiness through revolution. 

The drama “Meeting” represented the classic clips from the movie “My People, My Country” to praise the scientific and research workers who sacrificed themselves due to their love for our country and worked in the front of the national defense line.

The choir sang the song “To My Motherland” to express their love and blessing to our country in high melody.

The dance “Flowers Blooming” represented the beauty of our motherland with shining stage performance and graceful moving postures.

In the second part “Pursue New Era with One Heart”, “Snow Land” sang by traditional orchestra showed the mystery and purity of northern scenery, deep in heart.

Dance “Lotus” expressed the attitude of fighting against adversities and never surrendering to destiny because it grows in the silt but not imbrued.

Acappella “We Are All Dream Chasers” called youth to act toward our dreams with unremitting efforts.

The Mongolian dance “Girls in Grassland” showed us girls’ life in grassland with beautiful body languages and distinct ethnic costumes.

The magic “Magic Dream” leaded us into a magic world with superb and ingenious magic skills and presented a blessing to the birthday of our country.

At the end of performance, the dance “Postures in Flourishing Age” brought a visual feast to the audience with agile postures, white fans and red silk props.

In the end, all performance members and workers came to the curtain to show their thanks to teachers, students, alumni and parents for their care and help to the Undergraduate Art Troup. On behalf of CUEBers, they also expressed their faith and determination to “Forge Ahead Together Through Thick and Thin and Pursue New Era with One Heart” and hoped CUEB could create greater achievements and compose a more gorgeous and splendid composition.
