On September 27^th, Theory Learning Centre (Extended) of CUEB Party Committee went to Fengtai District to research and study and held a forum with leaders of Fengtai District in terms of how to serve the construction of “four centers”, namely the national political, cultural, international communication and scientific innovation centers and how to develop Fengtai District. Han Xianzhou, Party Secretary of CUEB, Xu Fang, Vice Secretary of CUEB Party Committee, Ding Lihong, Sun Haozhe as well as Wang Yonggui, Vice President of CUEB, Chen Caiqun, Supervision Department & ombudsman, Xing Qi, member of Party Standing Committee, and Director of United Front Work Division, Fan Yong, assistant of President as well as other members of Group of CUEB Party Committee Theory Learning Centre and President Fu Zhifeng attended the forum. Xu Jianyun, Party Secretary of Fengtai District, Chu Junwei, Vice Party Secretary & temporary Mayor of Fengtai District People’s Government, Li Lan, member of Standing Committee of Fengtai District, Director of United Front Work Division and Director of the Office of Fengtai District, Ge Haibin, member of Standing Committee of Fengtai District and Director of Organization Department, Zhang Jie, Vice Mayor of Fengtai District as well as leaders of Fengtai District and comrades of related departments attended the forum.

At the forum, Xu Jianyun extended a warm welcome to the Group of School Party Committee Theory Learning Centre and introduced the basic situation of Fengtai District in details. He said CUEB, located in the heart of Fengtai District, had given full play to the advantages of higher education resources and provided effective intellectual support for the territory’s development in areas such as personnel training and scientific research for many years. Fengtai District has consistently carried out the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech to Beijing, and will strive to make Fengtai District a key region for expanding the functions of the capital and a new growth pole for the development of the capital in accordance with the new version of Beijing’s urban master plan. We hope to jointly explore ideas and strategies for future development with CUEB and jointly serve the construction of the “four centers” in Beijing.

Chu Junwei said that in recent years, CUEB has worked hard to continuously improve the teaching-quality and to meet the needs of people. Fengtai District is in a period of rapid development. Both CUEB and Fengtai District should extend their cooperation, and establish a systemic and comprehensive cooperation in many fields to serve Beijing’s “four centers” and facilitate each other.

Han Xianzhou expressed his gratitude to Fengtai District for the warm reception. He introduced education characteristics of CUEB from the aspects of students, faculty and scientific research as well as the purpose for this research and study in Fengtai District of Group of CUEB Party Committee Theory Learning Center. He said that with its unique latecomer advantage and open-mindedness, Fengtai District has obtained gratifying results, which are worthy of in-depth study and reference by CUEB. He said that CUEB actively implemented the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on writing papers about China. He hoped that CUEB can integrate with Fengtai District, giving full play to the advantages of talents and providing wisdom to the development of Fengtai District and Beijing, to build “four centers” to serve Beijing. Therefore, CUEB and Fengtai District can contribute to the realization of Xi Jinping’s New Era of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics with vivid practice.

President Fu Zhifeng introduced the development of  disciplines and majors. He said CUEB has cultivated more than 180,000 high-quality graduates for enterprises and the society, becoming an important force in serving the development of Fengtai District, Beijing and China. It is hoped that both sides will continue to deepen cooperation and jointly write a new chapter in cooperation and development.

Later, the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the construction of the “Four Centers” in Beijing and the development of Fengtai District.

During the research, members of the Group of School Party Committee Theory Learning Centre visited Lugou Bridge, Blocks of Wanping City, Party Service Center of Wanping City, Lize Financial Business District of Beijing and other places.
