On the afternoon of April 19, CUEB, with the help from the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, held the first offline job fair for spring 2022 in the hall of Beijing Guidance Center for Career and Entrepreneurship. Characterized by an innovative service model, this fair was moved off campus to actively respond to the current employment pressure, and to solve the problem that CUEB is still unable to hold the fair on campus due to the resurgence of Covid-19 pandemic. More than 300 CUEB new graduates attended the fair and had one-to-one, face-to-face communication with employers. Deans of some schools, deputy secretaries, counselors were also there to provide warm-hearted services and deliver resumes for graduates who were unable to attend.

This fair serves as an extension of the “special programs of visiting enterprises to expand posts for employment” by the Ministry of Education. CUEB Party Secretary Han Xianzhou and Vice President Sun Haozhe had an in-depth discussion with representatives of participating enterprises. Han learned more about the progress of these enterprises’ recruitment of CUEB graduates in this spring, and introduced CUEB’s operational principle of “being based on Beijing and serving the Capital”. He pointed out that guidance and services of employment for graduates at all levels should be highlighted to meet the needs of enterprises at various levels as the major work of CUEB under regular epidemic prevention and control. What CUEB needs to do is strengthening in-depth exchanges and cooperation with enterprises from graduate recruitment and professionals training. Sun introduced the characteristics of majors and professionals’ education in CUEB, and emphasized that the college attaches great importance to communication with enterprises. He also expressed high expectations for enterprises to employ more excellent graduates from CUEB. Director Kuang suggested that the Guidance Center for Career and Entrepreneurship shall fully play its role to bridge cooperation between colleges and enterprises, serving universities and enterprises in Beijing for high-quality employment of the graduates in 2022. The recruitment directors of participating enterprises spoke highly of the education quality of CUEB, and expressed their willingness to employ more graduates as the efforts to cooperate with CUEB in recruitment work. Wang Jinbao, Minister of Student Affairs Department of the Party Committee, presided over this discussion.

It is informed that this fair is the first offline activity of universities held by Beijing Guidance Center for Career and Entrepreneurship.
