CUEB Establishes “Ren Fushan Education Fund”
On May 4, CUEB held the founding ceremony for “Ren Fushan Education Fund”, a fund project for famous teachers, which was also livestreamed through Tencent Meeting. Han Xianzhou, Party Secretary of CUEB, and Ding Lihong, Vice President of CUEB, attended the ceremony and many alumni participated online. The ceremony was presided over by Feng Bo, Party Secretary of the School of Labor Economics.
In the speech, Han sent sincere blessings to Ren Fushan on his 107th birthday and thanked him for his outstanding contributions to CUEB’s development in labor science. Han suggested that the founding ceremony of “Ren Fushan Education Fund” held on China’s Youth Day reflected the ardent expectation of CUEB and alumni for disciplinary advancement and students’ growth. He stressed three expectations: first, to truly understand Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and explore socialist labor science with Chinese characteristics so as to fully serve the construction and development of the capital; second, to grasp new requirements for young people in the new era and cultivate a new generation with the big goal for national rejuvenation. CUEBers are supposed to become determined to follow the Party’s lead and arm themselves with the guiding principles of Marxism. Third, to adhere to the fundamental mission of cultivating talent for the Party and the State and build a team of excellent teachers to lead young students to pass forward the revolutionary spirit stronger and tell the story of China, making efforts to nurture a new generation of youngsters who are equipped with moral grounding, intellectual and physical ability, aesthetic sensibility and work skills, and are well-prepared to join the socialist cause.
At the ceremony, Han Xianzhou and Ding Lihong unveiled the plaque of “Ren Fushan Education Fund”.
Zhao Xiling, Secretary of CUEB Education Foundation, reviewed the Fund’s establishment background and history, and read out the founders’ initiative, calling on the alumni to support Labor discipline and talents cultivation.

Feng Xiliang, Dean of the School of Labor Economics, introduced the plan for the “Ren Fushan Education Fund” project. Fan Wei, Vice Dean of the School of Labor Economics, delivered the Fund’s management approach. They all believed that support and lasting concerns from alumni are important momentum for the progress of labor science, and that teachers and students will continue to carry forward the “Camel Spirit”, keep their feet firmly on the ground and work hard to build Labor Economics a China’s first-class and world-renowned discipline, contributing to the Second Centenary Goal.
On behalf of the donors, Chen Shuo, Senior Partner of Ginkgo Capital Management Co., Ltd., and Luo Dong, General Manager of Beijing Orient Huibo Human Resource Consulting Co., Ltd., gave speeches respectively. They said that as alumni, it is necessary to show gratefulness to their alma mater and strive to support the development of CUEB and its disciplines. Meanwhile, they hoped this education fund can continue to play its role in education and cultivate students’ intellectual knowledge as well as good morals with the spirit of Professor Ren as a true tutor and role model.
Many alumni extended their wishes to Ren and CUEB. Chen Yu, the alumnus from the class of 1979 and former Director of the Occupational Skill Testing Authority of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, expressed that the education fund connects Ren, the predecessor, with students, the younger generation, and connects limited life with the infinite labor discipline progress, which will make concerted efforts to cultivate more talents for the alma mater. Song Xiaowu, the alumnus from the class of 1980 and former Director of the Office for Revitalizing Northeast China of the State Council, said Ren’s earnest teaching and elegant character is the most important guidance in his life. He hoped that CUEBers can carry forward his spirit of humble, rigorous research to make more progress. Li Zhen, the alumnus from the class of 1986 and Vice President and Secretary General of the Chinese Association of Human Resource Development, expected the School of Labor Economics to further cultivate labor science and wished CUEB to inherit the tradition, seize opportunities, rise to challenges and reach a new height.
Li Futian, the teacher representative and former Party Secretary of the School of Labor Economics, recalled his relationship with Ren and wrote a poem named Tribute to Sophora Flower, using warm and romantic words to wish the CUEB full of vitality.
At the end of the ceremony, representatives of young teachers and students sang a song to express their wishes for Ren’s long, healthy life, for all alumni’s good luck in career and health, and for CUEB’s prosperity.
After the ceremony, Han Xianzhou and Ding Lihong made a call with Ren Fushan. Ren expressed his heartfelt thanks for the care and love of the leaders and comrades, and for the alumni’s generous support to the education fund. He said that he will try his best to give full play the role to offer suggestions for the Fund’s development. He stressed that the Fund should be safekeeping and fully utilized to promote the labor discipline in order to make high-level achievements in accordance with the requirements of reform and innovation, train top special talents and contribute to the national talent strategy. In the end, Ren gave his best wishes to the comrades of CUEB. Han and Ding expressed their birthday wishes to Ren and promised that the Fund will be managed well and live up to Ren’s wishes and expectations.
“Ren Fushan Education Fund” has raised more than 1.07 million yuan, which will support the development of labor discipline and its students and strengthen the teacher workforce, contributing to labor science under socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
Leaders in charge of the relevant functional departments, Alumni Association, and Education Foundation as well as representatives of teachers and students from the School of Labor Economics attended the ceremony both online and offline.
