On March 3, Xiao Kun, Party Secretary of Hubei Business College (short for HBC), and his team came to CUEB for a research visit. Han Xianzhou, Party Secretary of CUEB, and Li Xiaomu, Vice President of CUEB, accompanied them and organized a symposium. Zhang Tong, director of the Party and Governance Office, presided over this event. 

In the symposium, Han first extended a warm welcome to the representatives. He remarked that CUEB, as a municipal high-level research university of Beijing, always bears in mind the “two overall situations” in the new era, that is, the national rejuvenation strategy within a wider context of the once-in-a-century changes. CUEB is committed to leveraging its regional and disciplinary edges to serve the capital development better. Besides, Han hopes that both sides will strengthen exchanges and cooperation regarding high-quality school development and personnel cultivation, so as to advance educational capacity.

Xiao, on behalf of HBC, expressed his gratitude to CUEB for its support in mutual exchanges. Meanwhile, he introduced the current situations and future prospects of HBC and showed his willingness to build a long-term cooperative partnership that will facilitate communication in discipline construction, talent cultivation and ideological and political education.

During the symposium, both sides shared their insights on professional construction, talent cultivation, laboratories and practical training sites construction, etc.

After the symposium, Xiao with his team went to the Library, Digital School of Marxism Studies, Experimental Education Center of the International School of Economics and Management for research.

Long Mingtao, Xu Yuejin, Vice Presidents of HBC, Fang Airong, Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of Discipline Inspection Commission of HBC, and the HBC comrades of Party Committee Office, School of Management, School of Economics, School of Accounting, and Experimental Education Center attended the symposium, alongside with the CUEB comrades of the Party and Government Office, Academic Affairs Office, Office of Logistics Services, Library, Archive and School History Museum, Network Information Center, College of Business Administration, School of Economics, School of Accounting, School of Marxism Studies.
