According to CUEB undergraduate enrollment plan of 2023, an amount of 2756 students are to be matriculated with 1971 from Beijing (including 86 for joint education with other universities, and 58 for Beijing special enrollment program), 670 from other cities (including 90 for national special enrollment program of Henan, Hunan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Shaanxi and Hubei) and the rest 115 from other enrollment plans (including those of high-level sport teams, special classes for ethnic minorities, special mainland classes for Tibetan students and special high school classes for Xinjiang students ).

Two Changes

1. CUEB plans for an increase of 322 enrollment in Beijing compared with that of 2022, ranking itself among the universities to enroll the largest number of students in the municipality.

2. Majors of Accounting (Digital and Intelligent International Accounting) and Statistics (Cooperative Education Project with a Foreign University) are newly established. Human Resources Management will enroll students independently.

Seven General Major Batches

Seven general major batches of seven colleges, including 20 majors, will enroll students in 2023. Students of these general major batches are allowed to choose their majors in the third or fourth semester, so that they can have more time to think about their choices and lay a solid foundation for future majors. In filling out major applications, students just need to choose one general major batch. Relevant details are as follows:

Rules of Admission

For admission, candidates of the same major are ranked in descending order of total score for one-time submission. When submitting parallel applications, universities with a planned balance are ranked first based on the candidates' preferences. When admitting candidates for admission, all universities strictly put score first and follow students’ choices, without setting any grade differences within a professional group. When the total scores of students are the same, the score of Chinese will prevail, followed by Mathematics and Foreign Language. CUEB recognizes all types of bonus points recognized by provincial admission and examination institutions, and also recognizes them at the stage to choose majors. CUEB enrollment plan in Beijing will be launched in both the undergraduate early admission and regular admission, both of which are parallel preference selection. The proportion of files transfer shall not exceed 105% of the local enrollment plan. Students with color blindness or color weakness cannot apply for Safety Engineering (Safety Engineer); students with color blindness cannot apply for Journalism and Communication studies, Computer Science and Technology, Information Management and Information System (Financial Information Management); Foreign Language and Literature only admit candidates with English as the foreign language in National College Entrance Examination.

Joint Training Program

The program will enroll 88 students (including two students from Tianjing), who, in the first three years, will study in universities governed by central departments, such as University of International Business and Economics, Central University of Finance and Economics, China University of Political Science, or Law or Communication University of China, and then in CUEB in the last one year. Relevant majors are Business Administration (Business Enterprise Management), Investment Science, Insurance (Insurance and Risk Management), Law (Intellectual Property), Advertising and Communication.

Requirements for Foreign Language

Foreign Language Requirements: Foreign Language and Literature only enrolls students with English as their foreign language in the entrance examination. Only English and Japanese courses are offered as public foreign languages in CUEB.

Majors Taught in English: International Finance, International Accounting, Financial Information Management, Data and Econometric Analysis, etc. These programs are set up by the School of Finance, the School of Overseas Chinese, and the International School of Economics and Management, and are affiliated with Finance, Business Administration, Information Management and Information Systems, and Statistics (Cooperative Education Project with a Foreign University), respectively.

Notes for Filling out the Form of Intention for Preferred Universities and Majors

CUEB always has a large enrollment for students in Beijing, which means the admission scores are relatively stable. Candidates in Beijing can apply for admission in the early batch B and the general batch to increase the admission probability. Failure of admission in the early batch does not affect applications and admissions in the general batch.

Most of our majors have no restrictions on subjects. In Beijing, CUEB divides the general batch majors into six groups. If candidates wish to apply for different majors, they can choose more than one major group simultaneously to increase the admission probability. When filling out the intention in the general batch, students should obey the major adjustment within the group to avoid not being admitted. To maximize the interests of the candidates, CUEB will recruit the students if he or she is medically qualified and follows the major adjustment.

If students want to apply for general major batches, they need to fill out the college application according to the general major. Students should cautiously fill out the application to understand the names of the general major batches and the majors in them. For example, the general major batch of Business Administration (School of Labor Economics) contains 3 majors: Labor and Social Security, Labor Relations, and Social Work. If students apply for Business Administration (School of Labor Economics), they will choose one of the 3 majors to study after receiving basic training, and the selected major will be shown on the diploma. Students must pay attention to the majors in the general major batches when filing the college application.
