On July 5, President Wu Weixing, Deputy Secretary of CUEB Party Committee, led a delegation to visit CITIC Securities to implement the spirit of the school’s Fifth Party Congress and advance cooperation with companies. They held discussions with Zhang Youjun, Chairman and Party Secretary of CITIC Securities. Vice President Yin Zhichao, member of the Standing Committee of the CUEB Party Committee also participated in the visit.

President Wu expressed his gratitude to Chairman Zhang for CITIC Securities’ longstanding support and assistance to CUEB. He introduced the development trends and achievements CUEB has made in recent years. He highlighted CUEB’s efforts in integrating industry with education and combining science research with educational practice. He emphasized that this visit was an important opportunity to further understand industry development and optimize the school’s education mechanisms. He expressed hope to learn from innovative practices and strengthen school-company cooperation, improve the quality of personnel training, and discipline construction to serve the economic and social development of the capital.

Zhang warmly welcomed Wu and his team. Zhang introduced CITIC Securities’ history, structure, business operations, achievements, and plans. He emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between CUEB and CITIC in cultivating high-quality personnel and enhancing their competence. He pledged full support for CUEB’s development and expressed eagerness to achieve mutually beneficial cooperation.

During the meeting, Vice President Yin introduced CUEB’s recent achievements in the discipline construction, scientific research, faculty development, and social services. He expressed his expectation to establish a long-term cooperation relationship with CITIC Securities, aiming to produce more outstanding personnel for society. Both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on integrating industry, university, and research, leveraging CUEB’s academic strengths and CITIC Securities’ operational expertise. They agreed that this meeting marked a new beginning for cooperation and development between CUEB and CITIC, anticipating deeper cooperation in more fields in the future.

Before the meeting, Wu Weixing and his team visited CITIC Securities’ Departments of FICC Business and Equity Sales & Trading Business. Wang Junfeng, CITIC Board Secretary, and others attended the meeting. CUEB attendees included Zhang Tong, Director of the Party and Government Office; Feng Bo, Director of the Student Affairs Department and Office of Student Affairs; Ruan Jing, Director of Office of Development and Planning and Director of the Discipline Construction Office; Fan Hejun, Director of the Office of Research; Xu Yanhong, Director of Office of Cooperation Affairs; and Zhou Kaiguo, Dean of the School of Finance.
